Adams, Christopher-2019

Christopher S. Adams, P.E.

Principal

Mr. Adams has 40 years of experience in dam engineering and civil engineering relating to water resource projects. He has been responsible for work on over 200 dams, dikes, tailing dams, levees, and weirs across the country—including design and construction of several new large dams and rehabilitation of numerous existing dams and spillway structures—with a particular focus in New York State and New Jersey.

Mr. Adams has an outstanding reputation in the dam engineering field among dam owners and regulatory agencies. He is one of a handful of engineers in New Jersey recognized by the NJDEP Division of Dam Safety and Flood Control as having the required experience to be the Responsible Engineer for LARGE High Hazard Dams. He is also a member of a select group of engineers qualified by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to conduct inspections of FERC-regulated dams; under this program, Mr. Adams has conducted comprehensive dam safety inspections of dams at hydroelectric facilities.

Mr. Adams received a 2018 Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO) Northeast Regional Award of Merit for his volunteer work supporting the ASDSO’s continuing education requirements.
