The Basics of ASTM Phase I Environmental Site Assessments

Course Summary

This presentation focuses on the details and components of ASTM Standard 1527, “Environmental Site Assessments for Commercial Real Estate.”

The presentation includes the history of the development of the standard, a review of the information sources needed to construct a site history, a review of environmental information provided by a professional database search company, and a slide presentation of building features of environmental concern that often lead to a release to the environment.

She has completed hundreds of environmental projects throughout New Jersey and is currently the Case LSRP for dozens of projects.

Mr. Morris has over 25 years of experience in land development, primarily focusing on site/remedial investigations and remedial actions including subsurface investigations, ASTM and AAI compliant Phase I ESAs, NJDEP/ISRA compliance (PA, SI, RI, RA, Deed Notice and CEA), UST closures, due diligence and ACM/LBP/IAQ services. He has performed, coordinated and managed numerous residential, commercial, and industrial assessments, site/remedial investigations and remediation activities pursuant to Federal, NJDEP and NYSDEC regulations.
